Jewelry Care
Jewelry Care
Fine jewelry is made to be worn, but a little care goes a long way in preserving its finish, settings, and stones.
Everyday wear
Remove jewelry before heavy lifting, exercise, gardening, cleaning, swimming, or any activity that may expose it to impact, pressure, chemicals, or abrasion.
Diamonds & gemstones
Diamonds are durable, but they can still chip or loosen in a setting if struck. Some gemstones are more delicate than diamonds and may require extra care. Avoid exposing jewelry to sudden temperature changes, harsh chemicals, or unnecessary impact.
Gold & metal finishes
Gold naturally develops fine surface marks with wear. This is normal and part of the life of the piece. Avoid abrasive cleaners or polishing products unless specifically recommended for your jewelry.
Cleaning
For routine cleaning, use lukewarm water, a small amount of mild dish soap, and a very soft brush. Rinse carefully and dry with a soft, lint-free cloth. Avoid ultrasonic or steam cleaning unless you know the stones and setting are suitable for those methods.
Storage
Store pieces separately in a soft pouch or lined jewelry box to help prevent scratching, tangling, or contact damage.
Settings & inspections
Frequently worn pieces should be inspected periodically for loose stones, worn prongs, weakened links, or changes in the setting. If anything feels loose, catches unexpectedly, or looks different, stop wearing the piece and contact us before further wear.
